HURRICANE IDA

Hurricane Ida was a deadly and extremely destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane in August 2021 that became the second-most damaging and intense hurricane to make landfall in Louisiana on record, behind Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

DRC went to work immediately for communities in Alabama and Louisiana. DRC also provided support to the state of Pennsylvania, where Governor Tom Wolf signed a proclamation of disaster emergency due to flooding, severe storms, and tornadoes from the remnants of Ida.

DRC provided waterway debris removal, demolition services, ditch clean out, sand sifting, tree removal, open burn, grinding and compaction, as well as logistics services (trailers, laundry, showers, restrooms, catering, and generators).
