TORNADO - ARABI, LOUISIANA

On March 22, 2022, a catastrophic tornado touched down in Southeast Louisiana. Arabi saw significant damage from the system. The tornado ripped through Arabi at EF-3 strength with peak winds of 160 mph. St. Bernard Parish was noted to be one of the most damaged areas. Around 4,000 homes and businesses were without electricity in the aftermath of the disaster. DRC demolished 150 homes in response to the tornado. DRC management personnel mobilized within less than an hour of the tornado and promptly started PUSH operations.
